Achilles Problems
What Are Achilles Tendon Injuries?
The Achilles tendon is a fibrous band of tissue that links the muscles in your calf to your heel. Its strength and flexibility are critical for jumping, running, and walking. When it becomes inflamed, swollen, and irritated, the condition is called tendonitis.
There are two main types: Non-insertional Achilles tendonitis, where small tears form in the middle fibers affecting younger, active adults; and Insertional Achilles tendonitis, where damage occurs where the tendon meets the heel bone, often with bone spur formation. In severe cases, the tendon can partially or fully rupture — a serious injury requiring immediate medical attention.
Innovative Treatment Options
We offer a comprehensive range of treatments designed to reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and heal damaged tissue — without surgery whenever possible.
EPAT (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology) shockwave therapy to stimulate healing.
Sound therapy and regenerative product injections.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy to accelerate tissue repair.
Splints and bracing to rest and support the tendon.
Hands-on physical therapy targeting the affected area.
Surgical repair for complete ruptures or cases unresponsive to conservative care.
